Beyond the Darkness (film)


Buio Omega aka The Final Darkness, Beyond the Darkness, Buried Alive and Dark Holocaust is a 1979 Italian horrorexploitation film directed by Joe DAmato. This film remains controversial in many countries today, notably Australia, where it has been banned since 1992 due to very high impact violence throughout. Buio Omega remains banned in several other countries to this day. It was released to cinemas in Italy on November 15, 1979 and released theatrically in the United States to theaters, mostly Grindhouse theaters and drivein theaters on June 1, 1984 briefly from the former U.S. independent distributor Aquarius films releasing that also distributed other Italian gore classics Lucio Fulcis The Beyondfilm as Seven Doors of Death, Umberto Lenzis Cannibal Ferox as Make Them Die Slowly, and Zombie Holocaust as Dr. Butcher MD in the US between 1982 and 1983.

Frank later picks up a stoned hitchhiker to his home. When she spots Annas corpse, she panics and a struggle ensues. Frank tortures her before choking her to death. When Frank is not satisfied, his housekeeper tries to comfort him once more, this time with a handjob.A few days later, a jogger twists her ankle around Franks home and he invites her in. They have sex on his bed, until Frank cant resist showing off Annas corpse right next to them. Once more a fight ensues. Frank bites her neck and eats chunks of flesh. She survives, but dies via incineration. ........
